Employees’ Turnover Intention in the Banking Industry

Abstract:

This investigation constitutes a synthesis of scholarly research pertaining to the phenomenon of employee turnover intention within the global banking sector. The findings of this research reveal that there exists a total of 13 principal factors that exert a significant influence on employee turnover intention within the banking domain, which are categorized into three overarching groups: (1) factors associated with job characteristics, (2) factors pertaining to the individual employee, and (3) factors connected to industry and organizational characteristics. Comprehending these factors will enable banking institutions to formulate strategic methodologies aimed at enhancing employee retention and optimizing work performance. This review serves as a foundational reference for subsequent investigations that aspire to achieve a more profound understanding of the phenomenon of employee turnover within the banking sector and the interventions that financial institutions can implement to alleviate its repercussions.
