Ứng dựng mô hình trọng lực phân tích các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến xuất khẩu gỗ và sản phẩm gỗ của Việt Nam

Nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá tác động của các yếu tố đến hoạt động xuất khẩu gỗ và sản phẩm gỗ (SPG) của Việt Nam thông qua cách tiếp cận bằng mô hình trọng lực. Nghiên cứu sử dụng các phương pháp như Pooled OLS, FEM và REM với bộ dữ liệu bảng của 18 quốc gia trong giai đoạn 2004–2023, để hồi quy và ước lượng mô hình. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, GDP của nước nhập khẩu, sản lượng thu hoạch gỗ của Việt Nam, vốn đầu tư trực tiếp nước ngoài, tham gia vào Hiệp định thương mại tự do (FTA) và ảnh hưởng của Covid-19 lần lượt là những yếu tố có tác động cùng chiều với kim ngạch xuất khẩu gỗ và SPG. Bên cạnh đó, tổng lao động của nước nhập khẩu, tỷ giá hối đoái thực và khoảng cách địa lý tác động ngược chiều lên kim ngạch xuất khẩu. Thông qua kết quả nghiên cứu, nhóm tác giả đề xuất một số giải pháp nhằm thúc đẩy tăng trưởng kim ngạch xuất khẩu.

Application of the Gravity Model to Analyze Factors Affecting Vietnam’s Wood and Wood Products Exports
Abstract:
This study investigates the determinants of Vietnam’s exports of wood and wood products using the gravity model framework. Employing Pooled OLS, Fixed Effects Model (FEM), and Random Effects Model (REM) estimation techniques, the research analyzes panel data from 18 trading partner countries over the period 2004–2023. The results reveal that the GDP of importing countries, Vietnam’s timber harvest volume, foreign direct investment, participation in free trade agreements (FTAs), and the COVID-19 pandemic all have a positive influence on export turnover. Conversely, the total labor force of the importing country, the real exchange rate, and geographical distance exert a negative impact. Based on these findings, the study offers policy recommendations to enhance the growth of Vietnam’s wood and wood product exports.
