Aims and Scope

AJEB promotes theoretical and empirical research using advanced statistical and machine learning methods in all areas of economics, with a focus on the financial system, especially the banking sector. Submissions related to any region will be considered, but special attention is devoted to research dealing with sustainable development in Asian economies, particularly with regard to the role of the Asian banking and financial systems.

• Financial Inclusion, Behavioral Economics, and ESG-aligned Sustainable Finance in Asia
• Climate Risk, Green Finance, Green Banking, and Green Growth in Asian economies
• Digital Transformation in Asian Banking Sectors

• Innovation, Regulation, and Governance in Islamic Banking
• Application of Various Data Processing Techniques to Economics and Finance, including:  Bayesian Statistics and Monte-Carlo Techniques, AI and Machine Learning, Statistics of Diffusion Models, Volatility Clustering, Economic and Financial Predictions, Forecast Verification

This ensures access to prestigious referees and thus guarantees a high intellectual standard of published research.
